ADVANCED TEST
SWCC Test with Polymer Based Tensiometer
The osmotic tensiometer works on the principle of osmotic pressure difference created across semi-permeable membranes to measure the soil water potential of the porous medium.

The apparatus consists of a high-concentration osmotic solution that generates an osmotic pressure, a Pressure sensor, and a porous ceramic tip. When inserted into the soil, water moves across the membrane according to the difference in water potential between the osmotic solution inside the tensiometer and the surrounding soil (Liu et al., 2021).

IoT Weighing Balance
High precision balance that capable measuring the changing sample weight continuously in real time. The instrument can be setup to collect the weight of the sample automatically over time in the predetermined time interval. The moisture content can be calculated from the measurement.

The balance has the capacity up to 2000g with readability and repeatability 0.01 and 0.02 g, respectively. It is equipped with LCD display and rs232 for easy communication. The balance can be connected to monitoring software for real time measurement.

Shrinkage Test with 3D Scanning
3D scanning as a new procedure to capture a physical object in three dimensions (Orazayeva et al., 2024).
This technology uses laser technology to capture point cloud of the object, rotated in 360 Degrees so that irregular shape of the object can be precisely measured. 3D scanning was conducted on regular interval to obtain volume change of the specimen.

By measuring the weight of an object at the same time, precise change in weight and volume of the specimen can be done to obtain shrinkage curve.
